A made-to-measure furniture company seeking a Product Trainer to improve store colleague product knowledge

A made-to-measure furniture company who are proud to produce a wide range of high quality bespoke furniture and storage solutions for the home. This company works with a network of stores in the UK and are now looking to recruit a Product Trainer to ensure store staff are equipped with excellent product knowledge so they can sell, answer customer queries, and install merchandising schemes with confidence.
Your new role
You will be the ambassador for this made-to-measure furniture company, ensuring that store colleagues, call centre agents, and field merchandisers are equipped with excellent product knowledge so these teams can sell the product, answer any customer queries, and install merchandising schemes with confidence. As your first responsibility, you will be tasked with the creation and deployment of a set of training materials suitable for use by all of these teams.
You will visit each store in a UK-wide network of over 200 locations, and work with over a 1000 store colleagues helping to develop their product knowledge and confidence when talking about the brand. You will then regularly visit each store on a schedule, updating teams with any new product information and review the work of the external merchandising team, ensuring any changes to the merchandising schemes meet the high standards of the brand. This is a new role for the company, so this is an excellent opportunity to make your mark on this blank canvas and build the training strategy from the ground up.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you should have demonstrable experience in a training or merchandising role where you have worked with DIY or Building Merchant customers. Any experience of creating your own training materials would be beneficial. You will be representing the company and be an ambassador for the brand so it's important you are self-motivating, organised and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. It is important you have a full, clean driving licence and be a confident driver. You should be a proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
