Person Specification

The perfect candidate for this role will have a 1st class of 2:1 degree in mathematics and will have a keen interest in pursuing a career in education. You will need to be patient and resilient, with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. In addition, you will need to show a passion to work in education and understand the impact you can have.

About the role

This role is a great opportunity for a talented graduate to inspire young people to achieve their full potential. Day-to-day, the role will require you to deliver pre-planned work to small groups of students or on a 1:1 basis, as well as assisting the class teacher with classroom activities. The role is exciting and varied with the potential of gaining more responsibility and eventually organising and delivering your own booster sessions. In addition, you will assist throughout all classes in the department, working with small groups alongside the teacher to deliver the Curriculum. The school would love somebody who is willing to take on extra-curricular responsibilities to help with their maths drive and improve attendance.

The dynamic school has a caring, welcoming and inclusive ethos, with significant experience training and developing graduates to move into teaching. This school is well known in the area due to its exceptional CPD offering and teacher training programme. It is located in Salford, and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
