Primary SEN Teacher
Primary SEN Teacher January start 'Good' Ofsted (2014) 140 - 175 daily rate KS2 class - PMLD students Excellent on-site facilities Bromley I am currently working with a 'Good' SEN school that caters for primary and secondary aged students with ASD, SLD and PMLD based across 2 sites in Bromley who are looking for a primary SEN Teacher to start in January on a full time basis. Primary SEN Teachers will need to be able to teach across the curriculum and differentiate lessons according to their needs. As a Primary SEN teacher you will complete 1:1 support for students including assisting in personal care tasks (feeding, changing, toileting etc.). This Primary SEN Teacher role would suit both experienced fully qualified teachers (with QTS) from SEN schools or mainstream primary schools - experience supporting learners with PMLD would be advantageous though not a necessity. The school has an amazing training scheme and induction programme and as a result, encourages applications from NQTs. The ideal primary SEN teacher will have the following: Has QTS 1 years UK experience planning and delivering sessions across the primary national curriculum Has experience teaching PMLD students at primary level Experience with the Move programme Experience using PECs and Makaton (preferable but not essential) This large SEN school caters for children aged 4-19 with a range of complex learning needs. As a result, the curriculum is tailored to meet these needs with primary students focusing on developing sensory needs and secondary aged students focussing on independence skills. Their most recent Ofsted report was graded good with their behaviour and safety of pupils graded as outstanding. Each student has an EHC plan in place and therefore the school provides personalised learning and development tailored to meet each student's needs. Each class has a maximum of 8 children and at least 3 teaching assistants. To be considered for the role please apply with an up to date CV today!
