Corby Business Academy is a popular and oversubscribed 11-18 Academy with a growing reputation both locally and nationally. Closely located to the Leicestershire / Northamptonshire border we provide staff and students with a modern learning environment, offering state of the art teaching and learning facilities equipped to meet the challenges of a varied and engaging curriculum.

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join our dedicated team from January 2018 to cover a period of maternity leave. It is an exciting time to join the English department with the faculty demonstrating proven outcomes; in 2017 76% of students attained at grade 4+ in English and 54% of students attained at grade 5+. The number of students attaining grade 9 in the English measure was above national figures.


We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about enabling all students to make dramatic progress in English. The successful candidate will be ambitious, enthusiastic and creative and able to plan engaging lessons. You will work collaboratively with the dedicated, experienced and hardworking team who will support you in your new job. You will be expected to teach English at Key Stages 3 and 4. A Level English Language and Literature are also delivered within the Faculty, with significant numbers of Sixth Form students taking an English qualification.
