Registered Mental Health Nurse Band 6 - RAF Brize Norton - Carterton
A locum is required to be responsible for providing an outpatient occupationally focused community mental health service within the area of responsibility (AOR) of the Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH). This will include helping to organise and deliver therapeutic interventions, educational training and mental health promotion initiatives in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary mental health team. It is expected that you will carry out initial mental health assessments and subsequent reviews for personnel referred to the DCMH as well as being responsible for an identified caseload and maintaining records. Lisaising with MO's and GPs and other professional groups is necessary along with clinical supervision and meetings as required. Lead clinical supervision and involvement in Health Governance (HG) and take the lead on initiatives (e.g. audits) as directed by the HG lead may also be necessary. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Must be Registered Nurse (MH) Level 1 with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN). A minumum of 2 years' experience of Community Mental Health at Band 5 must have been undertaken. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCEPrevious Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience. Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Levels 2-3.
