Job Title – Field Service Engineer
Location – UK Wide (Oxford, Banbury, Bicester, Bletchley, Buckingham)
Salary - £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus overtime (OTE £40k)
Our client specialise in the design, manufacture and service of materials handling products. Supplying to a wide range of industries, their clients include McLaren, Coca Cola, Tesco’s and Amazon.
Their product range includes both standard items and bespoke solutions that can either operate as a standalone system or be integrated into existing systems.
The company pride themselves on excellent customer service and have a comprehensive service structure for their clients.
Thanks to continued growth and the launch of two new product ranges, our client now require an additional Field Service Engineer to join their experienced service team.
As the Field Service Engineer you would be required to perform two functions within the service team. The first is to perform routine, planned maintenance on customer’s equipment; the second is to react to breakdowns.
With breakdown call outs the Field Service Engineer will be required to access the nature of the failure and then correct as quickly as possible. Breakdowns could be caused by either mechanical or electrical fault, so the ability to fault find and repair on both is essential. Some larger equipment will be PLC controlled so knowledge of PLCs is paramount.
With clients spanning the UK, the Fields Service Engineer will be required to stay away from home from time to time. All expenses and accommodation will be covered by the company in advance.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have previous experience maintaining or servicing materials handling or automated equipment.
- Must have 17th Edition or equivalent qualification.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a clean driving license.
- Must be willing to stay away when required.
