SEN Teaching Assistant needed in the Forest of Dean
Your new school
Hays Education are looking for experienced SEN teaching assistants, who are passionate about giving those within SEN great support and opportunities. We are looking for those that are available for both part-time and full-time assignments in the Forest of Dean. Our expert knowledge will ensure that you are supplied with work in schools that are most suitable to you.
Your new role
This role is for those who are looking to work in SEN Secondary Schools in the Forest of Dean, supporting pupils who need 1:1 help or those who require added support throughout the school day. The help could be due to behaviour, or also academically.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need recent experience that is relevant to this work, any TA qualifications, for example 'HLTA' could be useful. Team Teach, Makaton or courses similar could also be beneficial, as well as any other qualifications relevant to SEN. You will also need to be passionate about giving those with SEN the same opportunities as those pupils in mainstream education. You will be patient and able to create interventions to deal with difficult behaviour.
