The Role

As a Big Data Architect at Limejump, you will work with the latest products and technology in the energy industry. You will be responsible for managing the Spark infrastructure to monitor, operate and analyse our virtual power station. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of work within a big data ecosystem and significant experience using Python.

Responsibilities

As our Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for:

Improving the efficiency of Spark infrastructure for core productsGuiding evolving company data strategy Supporting analytical functions through data engineeringWorking collaboratively with Limejump’s Tech and Analytical teams to support business requirementsEssential Requirements

A demonstrated deep interest in the "big data" ecosystem Necessary commercial expertise to lead the evolution of Limejump's big data architectureCommercial work experience with Spark (preferably pySpark)Significant experience using Python (ideally in a Data Science context using numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)Preference for experience of processing live streams of data at scale (preferably using Spark Streaming, Flink, Samza or similar)Preference for commercial experience creating and running robust batch jobs/pipelines in a production environment (for example using Luigi or similar frameworks)Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written)Self-motivated and resourceful.Enthusiasm for innovation in the tech industry, including continuous learning and improvementIf successful, eligibility to work in the UK without employer sponsorshipCompany Benefits
