£8.45 per hour + Company BenefitsWe currently have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our day shift team based at Birch House in Peterculter, Aberdeenshire. You will have a rewarding and stimulating vocation providing personalised care to people with learning and physical disabilities and thereby helping them to lead more independent lives. This is a Full time position working 36 hours on day shifts.Birch House provides residential and nursing care to adults of all ages with learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities. Our aim is to provide a safe and homely atmosphere, ensuring a person centred approach. We ensure that the residents maintain as much independence as possible through encouraging choice and activity. We endeavour to support the residents in maintaining contact with their families and friends.The role of a Support Worker is to enable the people we support to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives in a way which maximises independence and choice. As a Support Worker you will work with personalised support plans to ensure that all care and support provided is delivered in line with the wishes of the individual and in line with both organisational and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Your role will be to support people in their daily lives and this can include personal care of either sex subject to their wishes.
