Mach Recruitment are looking for an experienced Engineer to work in a successful development and manufacturing plant in South Bradford.

This a full-time position on a temp-to-perm basis.

The Job

The main duties of this role are:

Scheduling planned and unplanned work. (Preventative maintenance)Overseeing training of all new and existing employees, supervising the creation and maintenance of all training files.Managing the maintenance stores, tools and equipment, and ensuring a running inventory is maintained and where necessary orders placed to replenish stock ensuring no unnecessary downtime is incurred.The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.The ability to priorities and plan effectively.Compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policy.To confer with engineers and team leaders to implement operating procedures, resolve problems and system malfunctions and provide technical support.Fixing of faults and arranging for any replacements to be installed in an efficient and timely mannerLiaising with the Head of Engineering and Production Manager of any issues and progress. Ability to carry out change overs to minimize downtime in production and to be completed by the allotted time allocated, all paperwork to be completed and passed on to the Production Manager within one hour of finishing set up.To monitor production line set up’s to ensure maximum production efficiencies are achieved.Any other duties as required.The Candidates

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • 5 years experience in fast moving consumer goods environment, preferably food, personal care or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven knowledge of machines and tools including their uses, for repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of production processes, ability to offer improvements for maximising efficiencies.
  • Experienced in problem solving and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Dual qualified an advantage.
  • Possess skills in turning, milling and welding.
  • PLC experience would be advantageous.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels on an internal and external basis, whilst using analytical, observational and technical skills in a highly demanding role.
