We?re hiring for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to join one of the UK?s largest providers of services to individuals with mental health and learning disabilities. The company have been going from strength to strength and due to growth they have just relocated from Manchester to bigger office space in the heart of Stockport.

As a 1st Line Support Technician you will be joining a team of 6 reporting into the IT Support Team Leader dealing and resolving a variety of issues from day to day. This role will also involve working offsite, visiting service users across the UK to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Duties will include:
? Working on the Service Desk receiving and resolving support requests and incidents
? Acting in a 1st line support role to troubleshoot incidents and requests that are reported to IT, taking ownership to bring them to a successful resolution
? Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use
? Providing 1st line Telephone Technical Support, using remote diagnostic software, call logging, escalation, resolution and closure
? Performing general ?housekeeping? duties, control the access to the corporate systems while complying with the security procedures

You will:
? Have a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver as you will be travelling across the UK to visit service users
? Have good problem solving and organisational skills to work with a ticket queue
? Have an understanding of basic networking including, IP addressing, DNS, Wireless, and Firewalls
? Be customer focused having the ability to manage users expectations
? Be self-motivating and able to work under own initiative with the ability to organise your own workload and prioritise accordingly
? Helpdesk Support experience would be advantageous but not essential
? A DBS would be advantageous but not essential

Salary £18,000 - £22,000 dependent on experience

This role would suite a graduate who is looking to get into a First Line Support position, as well as an experienced technician who is attracted by working for an established charity and the flexibility of working out of the office and visiting service users across the county to resolve any issues.
