You will be working in a professional public sector company in York.

Your new role

Your new role will involve varied tasks to provide accurate financial information and provide direction to the team. This will involve reviews of the balance and transaction reconciliations, development of the consolidation model, lead the delivery of financial statements and ensure information is compliant with accounting standards. You will also maintain an understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and how they are applicable, maintain the consolidated stocktake for the year-end financial accounts and maintain a strong working relationship with other bodies.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful you will need to be a qualified or part qualified accountant, with strong technical accounting knowledge and strategic thinking. You will also have strong management skills, be proficient in using IT systems and have experience in using accountancy systems. It is desirable you have public sector or non-for-profit organisation experience but not essential.
