The Role

NCC Group is looking to recruit a Sage X3 (finance) technical support administrator to join our in-house line of business applications team. We are looking for candidates with a functional as well as a technical understanding of the X3 application platform who will be able to provide second/third line technical support to our internal finance managers and Sage X3 user base.

The successful candidate will have a background in providing Sage X3 technical expertise to enterprise level customers exploiting their Sage X3 skillset with both out of the box and optional configurations to automate the business processes of an organisation in order to ensure the delivered application meets and exceeds expectations. They should have the ability to work a technical issue through to resolution in line with the company’s development, change and release processes and identify opportunities where improvements could be implemented to enhance the overall application experience as well as the return on our investment.

In addition to supporting the solution currently in place this role needs a candidate who can work with a talented business team to turn ideas and initiatives into deliverables; ranging from the scoping, development, configuration, testing and maintenance of features; to the migration and support of new business areas transitioning to the Group Sage X3 solution. Oracle Hyperion (global financial consolidation, reporting and analysis) has recently been introduced and the successful candidate will be expected to provide a similar technical support role for this application but comprehensive product training will be provided for this.

Responsibilities

    Provide effective and efficient second and third line technical support to Sage X3 users from around the world.Escalate to, and resolve issues with, third-party support partners.Train and coach the first line team to ensure they can resolve a very high proportion of Sage X3 issues first time/quickly.Mentor and monitor the first line team to ensure complete and accurate issue/incident information relating to Sage X3 is recorded and that issues are being resolved efficiently meeting SLA targets.Analyse issue/incident information in order to identify root causes and implement corresponding preventative measures.Reach out to ensure formal and informal relationships, and very pro-active communications, are developed and maintained, both within the department and between all business stakeholders, to promote an exceptional understanding of goals, timescales, requirements and benefits as well as collaboration and feedback.Direct, control and quality assess the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of the Sage X3 platform servers, services and applications.In collaboration with the systems infrastructure team design and deliver a highly resilient platform architecture.Author and maintain technical documentation.Assist in the scoping, configuration, testing and deployment of all Sage X3 changes and fixes, ensuring the organisation’s change request and release management processes are adhered to.Any Sage X3 projects undertaken will require the successful candidate to work as the primary technical/functional point of contact within the organisation when dealing with external partners.
Experience

Essential

    Functional and technical Sage X3 knowledge to expert level (equivalent to Sage certified consultant level)A successful track record of at least 5 years delivering a line of business finance systems including Sage X3 finance.Experience of the underlying processes that ERP systems support in a live production system environment.Proficient Microsoft server, SQL server, active directory, Excel skills (equivalent to Sage certified systems administrator level).Crystal Reports/SEI proficiency
