Due to a number of successful years manufacturing & selling industrial filtration systems into the metalworking market our client is in need of an additional service and installation engineer to work alongside an existing team. The role will involve supporting the service and maintenance of existing metalworking filtration systems as well as the installation of new ones through out the UK. Installations can take up to 3 or 4 weeks so overnight stop overs during the week will be a regular occurrence. However, as a general rule no weekend work is required.

The ideal candidate will be an apprentice trained engineer with an electrical bias but the role will also require:
1. Mechanical maintenance and pipework installation
2. Experience working on CNC machine tools with an understanding of signal interfaces for communicating fault and ready signals between various pieces of equipment
3. An ability to understand a variety of electrical schematic layouts being able to interpret general function and component identification
4. A good understanding of how PLC's work (programming is not a requirement)
5. A knowledge of pumps and fluid flow including the use of frequency inverters to vary the speed of pumps to control flow rates
6. Experience working with hydraulic & pneumatic systems
7. Experience working with and installing 3 phase equipment and associated control devices
8. A flexible approach to working hours, particularly when working away

A company vehicle and expense allowance will be provided along with any relevant training at the manufacturers facility in Germany.
