Blackwell Vale is within easy reach of the M6 Motorway and the very beautiful countryside of Cumbria and the Lake District. The home is registered for 51 beds which includes nursing of frail elderly and Dementia care. Blackwell Vale has 3 units, 2 dementia units with a total of 27 residents and 1 elderly frail unit with a total of 24 residents. Blackwell Vale provides a person centred approach to care for all residents and their loved ones ensuring each individual quality of life is maintained to a standard of their choosing. Blackwell Vale has recently undergone a full refurbishment programme to ensure our environment meets the needs of all residents. We have a lovely warm homely feel which our staff maintains to ensure the well-being of all residents, their friends and relations and a safe, friendly working environment for staff. The management at Blackwell Vale encourage staff to work in all environments whilst promoting each individuals strengths and experience. Regular supervision is provided for all staff to ensure full support is given and to ensure training needs are identified early for all. Qualified nurses are fully supported with their individual revalidation programmes and personal development plans whilst we have a programme of diplomas for all care and support staff available to enhance job skills and future career prospects within Four Seasons Health Care. As a Care Assistant you will show warmth and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. So as a Care Assistant what do you need to do to make this happen? Communicate professionally and warmly with all visitors to the home including family and friends Act as a key worker to a number of residents, providing friendship and supporting their needs. Take part in social activities both within and externally to the home When required, accompany residents to appointments outside the home Assist residents with personal hygiene needs Work as part of a team Attend training as required
