My clients are a dynamic and growing team looking for an experienced 2nd /3rd Line Support & Project Engineer. You must be a team player and a self-starter!

Role

2nd/3rd line support and project based work

Provide remote and telephone support for client networks and applications

Provide on-site support for client networks and applications

Covering central London and Surrey

An element of out of hours work will be required with options for overtime work on specific projects to be completed out of hours

Relevant IT qualifications (MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, MCTS, CCNA, CCP)

Strong attention to details and a willingness to own a problem

Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies. A genuine interest in emerging technologies is required

complex software/voice/networking environments

Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Essential requirements

Microsoft Windows Server technologies (Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016) Active Directory, Group Policy and PowerShell

Good working knowledge of virtualisation technologies - VMware/Hyper-V

Experience with Exchange Server and mobile email technologies

Microsoft Office 365 experience including inbound/outbound migrations

Experience of RMM technologies - Autotask AEM an advantage

Experience of routers, firewalls and VPN. Pfsense and Cisco an advantage

Strong understanding of networking technologies (including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QOS and various WAN technologies)

Experience of hardware troubleshooting and problem solving

Experience of troubleshooting and resolving network issues

Backup and DR methodology and technologies

Server upgrades and migrations

Experience with helpdesk ticketing system. Autotask an advantage

Desirable

VoIP and telephony

Veeam products and solutions

Email archiving technologies

AWS and Azure experience

Required experience:

At least 2 years' experience with server operating systems in a support or provisioning role

At least 2 years' experience in a customer facing role
