3aaa Apprenticeships, a leading Ofsted Grade 1 awarded training provider, is looking to bring on board a Senior Software Trainer & Curriculum Lead, to be the technical lead for the software function, to develop first class curriculum and to train and mentor learners in a variety of programming languages.

You will have a passion for teaching, mentoring and leading young people to complete apprenticeship qualifications and develop their skills in a variety of Software roles.

You will be required to lead on curriculum activities, guide the training and mentoring teams and support Apprentices to plan their activities, develop their skills in the workplace and at training sessions. Utilising your skills and expertise, you will support learners through a mix of teaching, mentoring at workplace visits and liaison activities to ensure qualifications are completed to a high standard.

What you will be doing includes, not limited to:

·Proactively review and develop curriculum activities to ensure optimum delivery

·Manage delivery of effective learning in class-based study weeks, ensuring apprentices achieve their maximum potential throughout the training programme

·Provide technical and standardisation assurance across delivery and product for Software L3 and L4

·Ensure that assessment of Software programmes is delivered to the employers’ requirements

·Supporting apprentices during induction and their programme to successfully achieve their apprenticeship

·Visiting learners in the work place, coaching and assessing against selected standards to successful outcomes against set targets

·Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each learner

·Efficient and effective operation of the assessment process in line with the company's apprenticeship quality systems and the requirements of the awarding body

·Liaising and communicating with Apprentice employers/ line managers to ensure they are fully aware of how to support them to meet key milestones.

There is a requirement to pass an Enhanced DBS check. This will be paid for by 3aaa Apprenticeships.

You will need a driving licence and own vehicle for the nature of this role.

Essential Requirements

·Solid experience within a similar training and development role

·Occupationally competent within software development

·Relevant sector skill knowledge of the workplace and subjects (Software Development, testing, application of a wide)

·Teaching qualification preferred (i.e. PGCE/CTLLS or equivalent)

·Assessor qualification preferred (A1, CAVA, TAQA)

·Computer Science or Programming related qualifications to degree level
