FEMALE SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED - DRIVING LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB !

DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE (12 hour shifts)

We are seeking FEMALE support workers to work in Burton on Trent supporting a young male wheelchair user living in his own home in the Burton on Trent area.

Rate of Pay:
£10.00 per hour day
£11.00 per hour night (waking nights)

FULL TIME or PART TIME POSITIONS

The shifts are 0700 – 1900 and 1900 - 0700 (12 HOURS).

Part time staff MUST be able to complete 2 x 12 hour shifts per week (24 hours).

Full time staff would work 3-4 shifts per week (36-48 hours).

The client has a spinal injury, and a head injury which results in displays of challenging behaviour - two people are on shift at all times.

Applicants must be female, must be a driver, and must be comfortable around animals (including birds) . Experience is not essential, all full specialist training will be provided..

You will be working within a team providing support 7 days per week on a rota basis. The role will involve some weekend and bank holiday working.

The role will include personal care (including bowel and bladder care), medication administration, accompanying to appointments and therapies, and assisting with all aspects of daily living.

The gentleman is in his 30's, he lives alone with family nearby.

Essential Criteria:
You must hold a full driving licence and be prepared to drive the gentleman's own vehicle.

Flexible, reliable, trustworthy, enthusiastic with a good sense of humour, you will be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

You must have an excellent command of the English language.
