Job Title: Technical Team Leader

Location: Halifax

Hours: 8:30am-5pm

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £20-24,000 per annum

Technical Team Leader

The Role

  • A proactive and passionate approach to the Team Leader role is absolutely required; always trying to identify areas for improvement in support processes and of team members; this includes reviews and supporting team members in their daily task handling.
  • As the Team leader you are also expected to handle escalations from the team or customers or from other escalation points on customer issues.
  • You are also responsible to roll out new support processes, deliver training and team meetings and provide coaching to the team.
  • Client interaction forms a big part of the role as well as weekly updates with Technical Manager on QA reviews
  • Ideally with experience in a technical support environment with extensive understanding of customer care, product knowledge and processes.
  • Good commercial understanding of the Bathroom industry.

The Candidate

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English

  • Strong people management skills and ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high performance levels
  • Customer focused approach and understanding of concept of a professional, polite customer service operation
  • Willingness to identify important customer issues/trends and retain accountability to the customer until solved.
  • Strong team player and role model, capable of gaining trust and supporting a team.
  • Well organised approach to work, balancing workload to ensure SLA are satisfied and ability to demonstrate good time management skills.
  • Ability to relate to others in a positive manner and to build strong working relationships.
  • Extensive technical knowledge across the bathroom product range and water systems for shower valve products which includes support with installing, and troubleshooting before and after installation.

Ideal candidate would be a natural, confident and effective communicator with excellent literacy skills and ability to work effectively on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.

You must have excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi task, time manage and take on new information at a high level and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Our client is a leading bathroom fitting supplier who has an opportunity to bring on a new Team Leader who will work with their Technical Sales Division. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Department Manager and will be an integral part to the company.
