Baltic Training are excited to be working with Access Plan IT to recruit for an Apprentice Software Developer to join their business based in Lancaster.

Access Plan IT are a business that specialises in training management software. They write the software, sell the software and also support the software. They originally started life as a training provider but quickly found out that training management software was in short supply. Access Plan IT now work with industry experts to ensure all of their software solutions are developed with everybody in mind.

They are now looking for a hardworking individual to join their team of developers and start their career in the industry.

About Apprenticeships

You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Maintenance of website.
  • Testing software.
  • Troubleshooting issues.
  • Developing coding knowledge.

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development
  • Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
  • Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Systems and Principles
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT)

Skills and qualifications required:

  • An understanding of ASP.NET, C#, HTML and JavaScript.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience of working on a coding project.

The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £150 per week.
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week).
  • Regular wage reviews.

Location and travel
Their office is located in Lancaster City Centre and can be accessed via local public transport routes.
