A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an experienced Structural Engineer to become an important part of a highly specialist Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in East Sussex. Our client has a number of exciting projects lined up and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to play a leading part in the delivery of these projects from inception to completion. Our client produces work across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and boasts an impressive portfolio of projects and clients alike, with many more to be added over the course of the next year. Our client is looking to pay a salary of up to £35,000 for this role, in addition to offering a wide range of exciting benefits.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer role you will:

  • Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Be working towards Chartership
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess at least 3 years' experience working at a UK based engineering consultancy
  • Possess a good understanding of AutoCAD
  • Have a good understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes

Key responsibilities of this Structural Engineer role include:

  • Play a leading part in the delivery of a range of building structures projects form inception to completion
  • Attend site projects and design meetings as required
  • Work directly alongside a number of experienced and Chartered engineers
  • Assist in bid proposals
  • Write reports, carry out calculations and conduct surveys as required
  • Aid the development of more junior employees
  • Receive full support of the completion of Chartership
