Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) vacancy - up to £40K per annumBexhill-on-Sea - Private Psychiatric HospitalAn experienced Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) is required on a permanent, full-time basis at my client's private psychiatric hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea, providing comprehensive nursing care in a low secure/locked environment to adults with complex and enduring mental health needs and learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be managing a small ward within the hospital, treating women with severe and complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours. Service users receive personalised care, based purely on their specific conditions and preferences, and all healthcare staff are thoroughly experienced and qualified to provide first-class care. The hospital's objective is to progress each individual to a less restrictive setting, thereby enhancing quality of life, social skills and future opportunities, through effective and personalised rehabilitation. As Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD), you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ward and its coordination, ensuring that staff rotas are compliant and clinical cover is always in adherence to the hospital's policies. Attendance and contribution at clinical governance, quality management and audit meetings is key, as well as ensuring all staff receive regular appraisals, development plans and support. You will work closely with senior clinicians within the service to manage patient flow throughout the hospital, and be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of all care plans within the ward. New patients will be met by yourself, and you'll regularly review all service users' progress against their care plans, making informed deductions and decisions whilst always keeping patient safety and wellbeing at the forefront of your practice.
