Located within walking distance of Borough Station and a bus journey from Southwark and Elephant & Castle, the Primary School is in a fantastic location. The Head Teacher is looking for a suitable candidate to step in to support two SEN pupils in KS1. The current TA has been supporting these pupils since the beginning of the academic year, however they have now decided they need an individual with a profound background in SEN to support them. Dividing your time between one pupil who is hearing impaired with social and emotional needs, and another pupil in the same year group with development delay this is a full on SEN support position. Therefore, the Head Teacher is not seeking someone with minimal experience with working with these specific needs, but instead a talented and knowledgeable candidate. A suitable candidate will have over a year's worth of experience specifically supporting children/young adults with hearing difficulties, developmental delays and behavioural issues. This role is perfect for someone looking for a real challenge - a candidate who isn't shy working with demanding children who require an incredibly high level of support. The SEN role will be under direction of the Class Teacher and the SENCO to ensure the Teaching Assistant is supported at all times. The students outcome is the most important thing this year so they will be looking for someone who is going to support them to the highest standard.
