EMEA Product Management & Engineering Manager

Location: / ( UK, Germany, France, Italy )

EMEA leadership responsibility for the Product Management and Engineering of the product portfolio in the Power Motion Control (PMC) Business Unit. The Leader leads a team of regional product managers and engineers to implement growth strategies, to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement, and strategic pricing in the region. Key responsibilities include: regional execution of the product lifecycle strategy, regional business development, regional (Penetration, Attrition, New Product and Pricing) (PANP) regional product marketing, regional rationalization, regional promotion, regional strategic pricing and training, in addition; sales and technical support driving organic growth, current product engineering, and regional program management.

Essential Function:

• Lead and develop a team of regional Product Managers and Engineering Managers

• Analyze regional market & customer needs and lead regional PANP (penetration, attrition, new product and price) efforts to drive outgrowth of the product line.

• Acquire & retain comprehensive knowledge of regional competitive positioning and competitor strategies.

• Lead regional support of product strategies/roadmaps and lead execution of the product strategies in the region; including positioning, managing product, segment & channel mix; and developing targeted value propositions.

• Regional lead for implementing strategic pricing.

• Support resolution of the commercial and technical issues that occur in the region, as required, for the product line.

• Monitor regional product profitability for each product line and recommend changes to meet Eaton top and bottom line objectives.

• Work with cross functional Product Growth Team members to propose prioritization of product development activities.

• Interface with the Regional Eaton Sales Team, Distributors, and customers to promote and support the sale of responsible product lines – with a strong focus on organic growth.

• Lead the regional development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales for the assigned product lines.

• Act as key regional marketing resource for, Trade shows, Tech Days and other related National/International forums. Participation in Trade Associations.

• Provide support on commercial contract negotiations on an as needed basis

• Lead the functional excellence of product management and engineering in the region.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required

• Relevant years of related industry experience

• Relevant years of management of people experience

• Experience with or aptitude to understand financial analysis and accounting principles

• Developing and motivating others

• Professional presence and Interpersonal effectiveness

• Business acumen and vision

• Strong sales/marketing experience and technical experience

• Ability to develop and present clear presentations

• Good understanding of market and competitive dynamics

• Understanding of markets, distribution channels, OEM requirements, and brand strengths in dealing with positioning strategies

• Managerial skills relating to the ability to lead cross-functional teams and interpersonal skills to motivate individuals/teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA – Highly preferred

• Engineering qualification – either Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational qualifications
