A global, specialist Automotive Engineering organisation are currently seeking to employ a Software Developer to join their technically astute team based within their state of the art facilities based in Lichfield. You will join a highly experience, fast paced workforce of 150 staff, working in a variety of areas such as Interior Electronic Functions, Vehicle Electrification and Chassis & Safety Control.
The successful candidate will join the companies Vehicle Interior Functions team and be able to demonstrate proven experience of designing and developing software for high performance embedded systems. Ideally, you will be Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline. You will have the ability to interpret circuit schematics and understand basic operations of microprocessor peripheral support circuitry.
Key Responsibilities:
Realisation of embedded software for 8, 16 and 32 bit microcontrollers using established company design practices
Design software life cycles in line with ISO2001:2008 quality system and high integrity design standards.
Code Implementation using C/C++ to assemble language and automatic code generation for modelled environments
Generate and execute test plans and reports at all stages of the 'V' Life cycle
Essential Skills:
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within an embedded system enviroment
Degree in an Engineering discipline or appropriate Science
Proven experience in a similar role within an embedded systems product development environment
Experience of programming using C, C++ & C#
Experience of Real Time Operating System (RTOS), Graphics Systems and OpenGL
Experience and proficient use of Infineion TriCore microcontrollers
Configuration Management tools e.g MKS
Use of Software analysis methodologies e.g Yourdon SASD or UML
Proficient use of Model-based development tools e.g Mathworks, Simulink, Stateflow, TargetLink etc
CAN based tool experience e.g Canalyser, Canape etc
Desired Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good test and analysis skills
Proficiency with Office tools e.g Microsoft Word
Team player who can also work independently
