Key Responsibilities

·Review the weekly sales figures and undertake analysis and action as required to continually update forward buying forecasts. Identify trends which represent opportunities or risk to profit.

·Manage the optimisation of store stocks in line with sales performance to improve company profitability and maximise product availability.

·Regularly review the delivery schedule forecasts and the actual intake of merchandise with Production and Logistics Departments, anticipating and/or identifying potential problems and take remedial action to resolve issues.

·Consolidate regular analysis of sales, margin and stock along with analysis of information for inclusion in the range planning documents.

·Ensure SKU’s and purchase orders are raised based on confirmed seasonal buy. Ensure retail price changes are actioned on the system in line with authorised instructions.

·Identify and interpret market trends through a number of different communication, market research and media avenues, whilst remaining aware of the activities of our primary competitors. Continually communicate with stores to assess the impact of the range and address opportunities.

·Follow and revise the merchandise planning calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. Support the development of the critical path

Key Skills

·Highly commercial able to manage the broader perspective, whilst maintaining attention to detail. Hands on, operational with a ‘can do’ approach.

·Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with expert knowledge of Excel.

·Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the business and with global partners.

·A team player that effectively collaborates with other internal and external functions to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives.

·Focused on the needs of the customer with a commitment to customer service excellence.

·Analytical, numerate and accurate with good attention to detail. Able to produce plans and analyses that accurately reflect the current business and its future intentions on a regular and timely basis.
