We are currently recruiting for a number of full-time and permanent Support Workers, Waking Night Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join one of our leading Client's to work within their Children's and Young People's Services across the Tadley and Newbury area.You would be supporting children and young people who have been diagnosed as being on the Autistic Spectrum and with associated Learning Difficulties between the ages of 5-19.Salary:Waking Night Support Worker - Newbury - P/T - £8,925 (19hrs p/w).Waking Night Support Worker - Tadley - F/T - £9.15 p/h (37hrs, 4 nights a week).Support Worker - Tadley - F/T - £14,932 F/T - Term Time.Senior Support Worker - Tadley - F/T - £19,000.The Organisation:This organisation is a leading Education and Children's Service in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes they focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.The services are set in beautiful semi rural locations with acres of well maintained grounds. They specialise in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Their children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.They offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood. The Role:As role of Support Worker, you will be supporting the children and young people in their everyday lives,meeting the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them.As a Shift Leader, you will lead your assigned shift taking responsibility for a small team of staff and a group of young people to ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe, healthy and able to make a positive contribution, realising their full potential through enjoyment, achievement and economic wellbeing. You will work in the children's home but will also spend time in school supporting during the academic day.
