Senior Structural Engineer – Associate Designate

An award-winning engineering consultancy are expanding their successful business by investing in the opening of a new office. As a consequence, they seek an ambitious senior or principal level Structural Engineer to work with the Regional Director to create and grow a team and the business. The successful Structural Engineer will benefit from excellent coaching and development and have the chance to work in a role that offers the opportunity to greatly enhance their career and experience. Key responsibilities:

·Meeting with clients and managing their expectations through the process.

·Good technical design expertise using British and international standards

·Manage projects from inception through to completion and deliver projects within timescale and budget

·Experience of coaching and briefing CAD technicians and less experienced engineers

·Having input into client fee proposals and design programmes.

·Respond to design queries during construction phase and attend site meetings and initiate relevant project meetings.

·Communicate project's critical issues in a timely manner to Directors and clients.

·Ability to mentor junior engineers, graduates and technicians and to lead design aspects of projects including managing quality, budget, programme and resources

·Willingness to undertake an active role to retain and expand the client base to assist the growth of the business

Key Requirements:

·Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering

·Chartered status with MIEstructE or MICE.

·Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer

·Familiarity with technical software such as CSC Tekla, TEDDS, CADS Analyse 3D, AutoCAD and Revit.

·Understanding of CDM regulations.
