Business Development Manager – M&E Engineering Services

North East UK

Salary – To £60,000 plus Bonus, Car & benefits package


Our client is a multi-national provider of engineering facilities, energy & outsourced solutions for a wide range of Industrial, power, oil gas and utilities organisations across the UK.


We are looking for a proven senior development person, with experience of selling mechanical and electrical industrial services into the North East Petrochemical and Power sectors. Ideally someone who is ambitious, determined and entrepreneurial who can help grow a business

Selected Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing client relationships and meeting sales targets
  • Take full ownership of the sales process from inception, RFI to contract signoff, including client negotiation.
  • Map out the potential prospects, network and build relationships with the relevant procurement and engineering teams within target customers.
  • Prioritise accounts and have a strategy for how they will be converted.

Personal Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least five years’ experience in a M&E engineering sales role with a proven success record
  • Must have relevant Power, Energy, Petrochemical client market experience
  • Successfully able to build a pipeline of profitable business
  • Effective analytical and decision making skills with innovative and creative ideas
  • Good team player, committed and hard working
