PROJECT ENGINEER / PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR - FMCG

An exciting position has arisen for an experienced and ideally suitably qualified Project Engineer to be an integral part of a successful Operations team of a well-established FMCG Engineering company based in the North Nottinghamshire area.

THE ROLE As the successful Project Engineer / Project Co-ordinator you will provide essential leadership and support throughout full project lifecycles - working to ensure the successful, on-spec (cost, quality and value) and on time delivery of projects.

Key duties to:

  • Manage a portfolio of big and varied smaller projects from their initiation through to completion
  • Coordinate multiple projects, which may be at varying stages of development process
  • Develop and maintain project plans, actively updating and managing timeline, risks and costs
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate all plans and updates to project teams and key stakeholders
  • Escalate risks/ non-conformances and issues to the dedicated Project Manager
  • Schedule and coordinate periodic project status meetings and reporting
  • Create and promote effective liaison and relationship building with colleagues, customers and other key stakeholders
  • Maintain a commercial focus and interest in product markets
  • Assist the sales force to develop and maintain customer relationships

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Project Engineer / Project Co-ordinator / Project Executive will be a self-motivated, highly professional individual who enjoys a challenge and has:

  • Experience in managing engineering/manufacturing based projects - ideally supplying into the FMCG industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting and effective relationships
  • The ability to co-ordinate and work on multiple projects efficiently and effectively
  • Effective communication, listening and team working skills
  • Excellent organisational, numeracy, IT and time management skills
  • The ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Good leadership and motivational skills
