Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school in West Bromwich, Sandwell to recruit for a full time Science teacher to start in January 2018. The post is offered on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become more permanent further into the academic year.
Your new school
This school is a multi-cultural 11-19 foundation school, serving 1400 students in the North of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall. It opened in September 2010 and they have quickly established themselves as one of the highest performing schools in the area, an accolade achieved through their commitment to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning and the provision of exciting and dynamic learning experiences for their students. The school is highly involved in fundraising and the pupils and staff raise hundreds of pounds each year for local, national and international charities. They have recently undergone mass refurbishment and the new school building is immaculate.
Your new role
This role is offered on a full time, temporary basis to begin with. The post will be advertised as a permanent vacancy further into the academic year and Hays Education will be handling all applications exclusively. You will need to be experienced teaching Science across KS3 and KS4. If you aspire to be a teacher that truly makes a difference to their pupils this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a 'paid to scale' post (MPS/UPS). These roles are suitable for both experienced candidates and NQTs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for these roles you will need to have secondary teaching experience of at least 3 months, recent experience teaching within a secondary school or similar setting and be willing to travel to the West Bromwich area. Ideally you will hold UK QTS I am looking for teachers who fully commit to their role and the school they work in and in return you will receive 100% support throughout your assignment. You will be an experienced Science teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role as a Science teacher or have completed similar responsibilities and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
