Maths Teacher job in Caerphilly. Long term role with possible extention, teaching KS3 & KS4 Maths
Your new school
This school is a mixed, 11 - 18, mainstream secondary school with over 1000 pupils including 200 in sixth form. The school located in Caerphilly in a reasonably urban location with transport links close by. The school has been established for over sixty years and is in the top twenty five percent of schools for performance in key subjects such as English and Maths. Twenty percent of pupils are entitled to full school meals. Staff adopt a whole school approach to learning and achievement, which is reflected in the general positive and proactive attitude of pupils.
Your new role
Starting in December 2017 you will work as part of a Maths department made up of five experienced teachers. You will be responsible for full teaching responsibilities (including planning and preparation) for a KS3 and KS4 Maths timetable. In addition to your teaching responsibilities you will cover other subjects in the school when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching Maths in a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
