Finance Assistant - Stevenage

Our client is currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Stevenage on an initial 6 month contract to start ASAP. This role will be supporting the Finance Manager in relation to all finance matters. Responsible for providing administration support to a wide range of finance processes including credit control, management accounts preparation, accounts system update and maintenance and other key finance tasks.

Main Duties:

  • Client credit-control and status reporting;
  • Giving administrative support to Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable;
  • Handle banking, scanning documents and filing;
  • Daily Cash Receipts and updating of Cash files;
  • Sending invoices, letters credit notes, Statements to customers;
  • Setting up new Accounts;
  • Chasing debts by contacting customers via email, letters or phone worldwide;
  • Resolving and investigating queries;
  • Liaising with Service and Sales re customer queries;
  • Take inbound customer calls and dealing with customers queries and complaint escalation;

Skills and experience required:

  • Credit control or finance administration Experience
  • Competent using Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
