Bank Relationship Manager – Property Lending

Our international client, a private bank with subsidiary in London, is seeking a Relationship Manager for their London office. This person will assist the Head of Corporate Banking and Property Lending to maintain and develop a portfolio of customers, which is of good quality and produces the required level of profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as Relationship Manager within the property lending sector with a banking institution and they will have successfully acquired new customers as part of their previous roles.

Key Responsibilities

• To carry out risk assessments of propositions submitted by your customers/potential customers;
• To ensure all your property proposals are prepared accurately and with the appropriate attachments and presented to Credit Committee, in London and Israel, in a timely fashion;
• To manage the day-to-day customer relationship and risk assessment of each of your customers and to establish/maintain and develop your customer portfolio of property related facilities which is of good quality and produces the required level of profitability;
• To ensure that the provision of property lending services and monitoring procedures are carried out to a high standard, are in accordance with the Bank’s rules and best practice, and that any legal and regulatory requirements are observed;
• To ensure that documentation and security-taking standards and procedures in respect of your property lending portfolio properly protect the Branch/Bank;
• To market the Property services of the bank to new and potential customers and attend professional events and networking.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A Minimum of 5+ years experience as Relationship Manager with a private bank is a must
• Must have experience dealing with property lending
• Proven track record of bringing new business to the bank
• Highly service-orientated individual with a pleasant personality
• Outstanding attention to details
• Multitasking between many tasks and excellent time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• Motivated, enthusiastic individual with strong organisational skills
• Hardworking and flexible with the ability to work under pressure
• Enthusiastic with the ability to work independently and self-manage
