Support Workers needed in and around Lyndhurst! You must be a driver due to the rural location. You must also have previous experience within the care sector with a passionate attitude to help young people.Salary: £18,468 (£16,823 basic plus an average £1,645.00 sleeping in allowance)You will be supporting 3 to 4 challenging young people who have Autism, Social, Emotional Difficulties or complex needs.Benefits:33 days annual leave, company pension scheme plus a great benefits packageTraining Package including scheduled ongoing face to face training and CPD planningFunded Level 3 QCF Qualification included as part of rolePlenty of opportunities to maximise earnings and career developmentSleep-in allowance of £35.00Requirements of a Support Worker:MUST be driversMUST be over 21 years of ageNVQ Level 3 Children and Young People is ideal, but people without this qualification are also considered with challenging behaviour experienceBe willing to undertake and complete further training and development, as necessary in order to enhance service deliveryExperience working in the care sector is idealBe passionate about supporting young people with both Autism and Emotional Behavioural DifficultiesMust be resilient, good at boundary setting and sticking to your decisionsMust be able to work a 3-week rolling shift patternMust be able to work an average of 37.5 hrs per week, including evening and weekend working (1 in 3 weekends off)Responsibilities of a Support Worker:To keep the friendly culture and environment of the schoolTo act as a caring and authoritative parental figure for the young peopleTo be able to deal with challenging behaviours when neededProtect children and young people from risks to their health and welfareProvide support for the children and young people in the home and to promote their independenceDevelop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's livesTo encourage the young people to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their ageMaintain a safe environment for the young peopleAt Vetro Recruitment we recognise that exceptional people always know other exceptional people, so why not earn £50 to £250 for referring them to Vetro Recruitment.
