This role will involve you supporting students from various socio-economic backgrounds who display challenges to their attendance, attainment, behaviour and confidence. One day you may be supporting a group of students in their English class to improve their written work and get ideas down on paper. The next day, you may be required to mentor a student who struggles to motivate themselves to come into school and think of some strategies together that may improve this.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least a 2:1 degree, preferably in a core subject. Experience is not essential, however you will need to show commitment and drive to your own development and have a passion for education. You will need to show that you can be resilient and patient in challenging scenarios, as well as remain empathetic and understanding to the challenges some of these students face.
