Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

A pupil referral unit based in Leicester are currently seeking Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for immediate start working with KS1 and KS2 pupils. The School help students who have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream settings with the aim for them to return within 2 terms.

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant you will be working either 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who have Special Needs and associated challenging behavioural issues. You will work on managing behaviour within the classroom and work closely with the other School staff to ensure the pupil/s you support are consistently working to positive outcomes.

You will be a confident and motivated individual with a passion for working with pupils with special needs and/or challenging behaviour. A team teach qualification is desired but not essential as is recent experience working within a Special Needs or pupil referral unit setting.
