Central Employment are working with a leading and well established Digital, Brand and Communications Agency as they seek a Digital Designer to join their impressive and experienced creative team.

Main purpose of the Digital Designer:

The Digital Designer role is a combination of many creative processes centred around conceptualising and designing interfaces and experiences across a number of platforms and situations. Your role will see you creating wireframes, mood boards, high fidelity application templates, aiding in scope decisions and ensuring the finished product maintains the high-quality aesthetic we strive for.

Having a long established history in brand and print we pride ourselves on outstanding aesthetic design and cutting-edge UX; your role will be crucial in creating the front face of the products our clients and their audience will see and make decisions on. While working with the design director you will be given the freedom to explore and develop your own aesthetic while maintaining the agencies standards.

You will collaborate with Senior Developers, Creative Directors and Project Managers by participating in regular project updates from conception to launch. You will be able to articulate design decisions, be open to feedback and iterate where necessary to push the product forward.

As part of the creative team, you will help maintain and develop the digital design department and be open to new processes to push the team forward.

The candidate:

You are first and foremost someone who cares for design. You understand the balance between aesthetics and experience online. You have a desire to push your skills and create unique experiences.

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • The ability to articulate design decisions
  • A basic understanding of CSS and HTML
  • A love for typography and grid systems
  • A good understanding of responsive design – UI & UX
  • The ability to take constructive criticism
