My client is of the UK's largest Utility companies in the UK and due to their continued growth an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Content Editor to join their content team in central Reading, Berkshire.

This company provides the essential service at the heart of daily life, health and enjoyment to 15 million customers across London and the Thames Valley and are going through a period of exciting change. On a typical day, it supplies 2.6 billion litres of top quality drinking water and its 350-sewage treatment works to treat more than 4.2bn litres of waste-water.

As Digital Content Editor you will be responsible for delivery of innovative and refreshingly inspiring content and deliver a best in class digital experience for the brand, in line with organisations Customer objectives.

You will have excellent content skills, whether writing or editing copy, managing pages after their launch to maximise performance or creating new products and services as identified in the Thames Water roadmap.

This involves the creation of original digital content, such as copywriting, page building and management. Delivering against business objectives and serving our customers' requirements.

As Digital Content Editor you will capture, understand and deliver against stakeholder requirements and will work closely with the business owner to achieve their objectives, building and maintaining excellent operational working relationships.

The client is offering a salary of £33,000 to £36,000.00 depending on experience. There a range of company benefits including an excellent contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and season ticket loans and paid volunteering days.

What will this role involve?
The role of Digital Content Editor will involve you:
Supporting the Senior Content Editor with the editorial process for all content on the digital estate.

Creating content including copywriting, page/site build, edit and manipulate images.

Optimising content including SEO, metadata, create optimal customer journeys, in collaboration with Customer Experience Delivery Managers as needed.

Delivering on-going optimisation to continuously improve engagement metrics.

Ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment of content.

Updating workflow tools and delivering best in class content and copy, using templates and re-using as much content as possible across the digital estate.

Capturing and share insight and best practice to ensure the best possible customer experience and most efficient ways of working.

Acting upon insight from site and customer date and implement test and learn and propose action.

What skills are they looking for?
The client is seeking an experienced digital professional with proven experience in a digital role including, CMS (Sitecore a distinct advantage), website editing and copy writing.

The ideal candidate will be known to have excellent interpersonal skills - with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels of the company and articulate technical issues in a straightforward manner.

Being passionate about using content to meet customer's needs and be able to demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptive, ensuring that individual and organisational needs are taken into account is essential.

You will be known to be solutions and outcomes focussed whilst incorporating innovation and creativity as well as having experience of working with external agencies and in-house/off-shore developers.

Experience with web content management systems - ideally Sitecore and have an understanding of website accessibility standards would be highly advantageous.

You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, web analytics programmes -and Google Analytics.
