Role Summary

White Stuff requires an Infrastructure Analyst to work within a small team, taking responsibility for supporting the White Stuff IT estate. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager you will play a key part in ensuring the IT Services continue to experience high availability and stability.

This role requires a technology enthusiast with strong technical, organisational and analytical skills. You will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve third line incidents and problems across the IT architecture. You will play a key part in delivering improvements across our Infrastructure as well as BAU.

The position is based at White Stuff’s Head Office – Oval, London. Occasional travel will be required to our Distribution Centre, Contact Centre and shops.


  • Respond to and resolve 3rd line technical incidents raised by the internal service desk
  • Own and resolve problems by identifying and implementing root cause fixes
  • Proactively monitor the infrastructure environment resolving issues before they become business impacting
  • Supporting and maintaining the overall IT infrastructure across approximately 130 sites including; networking, storage, servers and applications
  • Administering and managing the VMWARE ESX virtual estate
  • Supporting and maintaining the Windows server environment
  • Managing Active directory and group policy
  • Automating daily tasks using Powershell
  • Maintaining the backup solution
  • Supporting the network environment
  • Maintaining the desktop and server images
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in the department to deliver technical solutions to rapidly evolving business requirements
  • Following best practice guidelines for PCI and SANs standards
  • Ensuring PCI processes and procedures are followed and evidence provided
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Working with the Infrastructure Manager to progress a number of projects including


  • Experience administering and supporting Windows Server (2012/2016) based Infrastructure and Windows 10
  • Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Understanding of managing and implementing Office365 (including Exchange Online)
  • VMWare ESX 5.5/6 administration and maintenance
  • Management and Administration of Storage technologies (HP 3PAR)
  • Server and workstation hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Desktop PC deployment experience
  • Experience managing and configuring Backup infrastructure and disaster recovery plans
  • Network support/management including experience with routing, switching and VLAN / VPN configuration (either Cisco or HP based)
  • Comprehensive understanding of existing and emerging technologies and related practices
  • An understanding of Infrastructure Security best practice (exposure to the PCI-DSS or other standards preferred)
  • Ability to author technical documentation

Other experience we’d love to see:

  • Experience managing small IT infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to EPOS systems would be beneficial
  • Exposure to Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure
  • Resilient, proactive and positive attitude and approach

Ideally you’ll have a degree in an appropriate discipline, relevant IT certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, VCP, CCNA, etc. and an ITIL v3 Foundation qualification, or relevant working experience.
