We are seeking a Fuel Injection Systems Integration Engineer to join this world renowned manufacturer who are a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for the automotive industry.

Systems Integration Engineer Essential Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in mechanical / automotive engineering or related subject
  • Experience of internal combustion engine design and/or development
  • Experience of engine fuel injection and control systems would be a distinct advantage
  • Personal and presentation skills, to represent the business to external customers
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a multi-disciplinary group with limited supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once
  • Ability to work away from home at international locations for short periods
  • Good written and spoken fluency in English
  • Current IT knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project etc

Systems Integration Engineer Responsibilities:

  • System integration of diesel fuel injection system on customer commercial vehicle engine applications
  • Understanding the engine performance and emissions of the application and interpreting customer requirements for fuel injection equipment and the engine management system
  • Planning, devising & executing test and analysis work on fuel injection equipment rigs, engines and vehicles
  • Writing reports and presenting results to customer audiences
  • Close liaison with customer (including short periods at customer premises) to monitor project progress
  • Track components, train customer engineers in CR systems and assist in troubleshooting
  • Support the Team Leader as the technical interface with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Support Hazard / FMEA analysis
  • Organise the procurement and testing of sample hardware to meet customer requirements
  • Troubleshooting & supporting engineering and system calibration activities through to production and beyond
