Teacher of Science, KS3/4, temporary/permanent, Plymouth

Your new company
I am working closely with a large secondary school in the Plymouth area. My client is looking for an individual who is innovative and hardworking to join their Science Department. It is a comprehensive school with a mixed age group of 11-18 year olds. They school are passionate in continually supporting their students to progress, excel and succeed.

Your new role
In your new Science Teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school situated in the Plymouth area. You will be specialising within K3/4/5 and will be required to teach Science up to at least a GCSE standard. The role will be starting ASAP until the end of the academic year with the opportunity to be given a permanent role. The school heavily invests in their teachers as they only want extremely motivated and driven individuals who have the ability to challenge the highest achievers in the school, as well as motivating the lower achievers to raise their academic attainment. You will be required to plan and prepare lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and assignments.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this Teacher of Science role it is essential that you have a PGCE/QTS in education (or equivalent) and experience teaching secondary students. You will be required to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge of the up to date curriculum and have relevant experience in Biology, Physics or Chemistry. You will illustrate the ability to teach Science up to at least KS4 level, along with the ability to teach different ranges of students. You will be dutiful to encourage and help students achieve their educational achievements, and demonstrate excellent levels of behavioural management and facilitation of the classroom.
