Our client is a specialist provider of IPTV, video streaming and digital signage software designed specifically for the enterprise market. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. Day to day tasks will involve end user support, diagnosing problems and responding to Helpdesk tickets, escalation of support tickets and being the primary face of the IT Team. Supporting their offices worldwide in the continual improvement in its network infrastructure and commitment to delivery of outstanding customer service. To be considered, you would ideally have: - Unix and/or Linux experience including basic shell scripting, editing config files, XML - Experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, PHP - Networking experience with TCP/IP and basic switch configuration - Experience of Windows OS including Windows 2003-2012 Server management - Office Peripherals (printers, scanners etc.) Personal attributes: - Excellent communication and client service skills. - Ability to speak English fluently is essential - Pro-active and diligent - Good attention to detail - An ability to pick up new skills rapidly is fundamental to the role - A strong team player - Ability to prioritise effectively and handle a varied workload You should have at least 2+ years IT Support experience gained in a similar role.
