The home is set in beautiful landscaped gardens in the nice surroundings of Whitefield Manchester. The home boasts it very own beautiful gardens with stunning water features the gardens can be accessed through patio doors located on the ground floors, on the ground floor you are welcomed with a warm inviting reception area which boasts 2 spacious lounges a beautiful bar area and a spacious beautiful dining area, the ground floor offers 25 residential beds and all staff promote, maintain independence privacy and dignity to a very high standard, the first floor of regency can be accessed by stairs or by a lift, on the first floor we offer 25 general nursing beds all decorated to a very high standard, oppersite our nursing unit is our specialised 10 bedded dementia unit were there is a spacious dining room and very spacious lounge area with accessed to a nice patio area our dementia residents attend singing for the brain which is a new up and coming event which has work wonders, we also have strong links with the local schools and other outside communities, we have some nice local pubs and social places around regency our residents quite often go for lunch or attend social events.As the Maintenance Person you will positively promote excellent health and safety standards within and around the home, supporting the home manager to maintain a safe environment for residents in our care.So as a Maintenance Person what do you need to do to make this happen? Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Care Home and surrounding grounds; ensuring excellent first Impressions to all who visit. Ensuring the smooth operation and serviceability of all services such as heating, lighting, plumbing and non-medical equipment required for the safe and efficient operation of the Home. Work positively with the Home Manager, Estates Manager and Regional Manager to achieve outcomes for the longer-term tasks such as refurbishment, non day-to-day servicing, redecoration etc. Take an active role in the monitoring of any risk areas regarding the Homes operations and security and advise the Home Manager accordingly. Maintain the home as a pleasant, friendly and secure place to live.
