Events & Activities Manager £25-£27K p.a. Full-time including some weekend & evening working The Cinnamon Care Collection is an exclusive group of luxury care homes and retirement developments occupying beautiful locations around the country. We are proud to announce our first Care Village, Emmerson Park & Grange based in Hextable, Kent. This will comprise a state-of-the-art 85 bed Care home, Emerson Grange, together with 45 luxury independent apartments set within the grounds. Providing all the benefits of a socially vibrant community, Emerson Park will offer a gym, hair salon, cinema and clubhouse room for a wide range of activities and social events. This person will be responsible for creating, designing and implementing our activities programme, designed for the social and recreational needs of our residents within our new Care Village. Additional areas of responsibility include recruiting, supervising and coaching activities coordinators and volunteers who support the activities programme. This hands-on role requires a high energy level, creativity and exceptional organisational skills. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with a calm empathetic personality and manner. Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare Village industry is advantageous but not essential. Strong motivational and computer skills are necessary as you will produce monthly newsletters, event timetables and regularly update the Cinnamon website, Facebook etc. to promote activities to the local community and potential residents and their families. An important element of this role will be to network and develop links in the local community to establish a relationship with local businesses, organisations and schools. You will build and maintain a volunteer base for the whole home, involving family, team members and community volunteers to participate as part of the activities schedule. Essential to the Activities within the village will be to organise special events i.e. Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasions etc. enabling a full, fun and cohesive events timetable. Organising exciting external trips and visits are also important to the Village taking in to account individuals capabilities in a safe manner. This is a fun, creative, busy and exciting role which will include some weekend and evening work.
