DevOps is critical to our strategy by enabling stable scalability and continuous deployment requirements set by demanding, digital-only consumers.


The DevOps Automation and Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for all software source code, change control, configuration management, and build and deployment processes for the development team. They ensure that developers have all the development tools at their disposal, environments are available and are the in-house experts for all the software development tools available in the firm. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the development and code management and configuration of multi-tier web applications environment. They will also develop and maintain application tools that build, deploy, automate and streamline code management and product delivery process. The individual must coordinate build schedules between Application Development teams, DBAs and Operations, develop and improve build communication channels, and develop, improve, and document build processes and procedures. This individual must be able to support multiple code bases, build and deliver frequent releases. The team maintains the source code, build systems and owns related processes to ensure high quality of delivery standards. As a member of the team, the engineer will ensure reproducibility, auditability and traceability of all deliverables. These tasks mainly include configuration identification, build/release management, version control, and source code auditing/reporting, environment support and troubleshooting. All individuals are expected to utilize and expand on existing automation capabilities and contribute back to the enterprise the tools and capabilities that they create.
