A small elderly nursing home in a village on the outskirts of Southampton is currently looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager, with a view to promoting them to Home Manager within 3 months.


Initially, you will work as Deputy Manager, working alongside the current Registered Manager to coordinate the clinical and operational management of the home. The current Manager is looking to retire, so you will work closely with them to learn the ropes, and will take over following their departure.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking for career progression, and you will be given all the necessary support to assist you in your transition to Home Manager.


The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following criteria:



NMC registered RGN or RMN
Experienced in a leadership or managerial role within a UK nursing home setting,
Confident providing both clinical leadership and line management to care, nursing and ancillary teams
Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of CQC requirements and quality standards


As Deputy Manager, you will work 36 hours per week, and will receive an hourly pay rate of £18, which will increase to an annual salary of £40,000 when you take over as Manager.
