Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Registered Home Manager in Canterbury. My client, a well-renowned care company, is seeking an experienced and seasoned Home Manager to join the team at their excellent care home.

As Registered Manager, you will draw upon your existing expertise and leadership skills. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it is financially sound, customer focused and well led.

Your key responsibilities will centre on the management and recruitment of staff, maintaining staff supervision, care delivery to residents and effective communication at all levels. Strategy, planning and marketing skills are also essential, and a sound knowledge of CQC requirements and legislation is imperative for this role.

Your duties as Home Manager will include:
• To ensure high quality care is provided to all service users in accordance with the clients policies and procedures
• To implement and ensure compliance
• To recruit, develop and lead a team of care professionals, with a shared passion and commitment for delivering the highest standards of care to our residents.
• To maintain effective communications at all levels and form strong relationships with staff, residents and their families
• Maintain occupancy levels within the service
• To support service users to ensure that their physical, social and emotional needs are met.
• To support the personal development of each service user, ensuring that they are treated as an individual with their own unique support needs
• To ensure that the dignity and individuality of each service user is respected
• To work in accordance with the companies vision statement, policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Successfully completed an NVQ 4/5 diploma in Care
• A strong background in elderly care (within a care home environment)
• Managerial experience, including being fully conversant with all CQC regulations
• excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Passion for providing high quality care
