IT Systems Administrator


The Systems Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and support of enterprise systems. Experience implementing and supporting Windows Server Environments, Networks Infrastructure. Should be multi-disciplined and driven to build and support scalable, enterprise solutions. Familiarity with server system design, storage area networks, network firewalls, wireless technologies, virtualization, backup platforms, operating principles, and procedures are a plus.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Provides front line support of server, network, voice, video issues and supports the Infrastructure Teams Global project initiatives
  • Works with and trains the helpdesk to support Level 1 Infrastructure tickets;
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange 2010/2013/2016, VMware, Citrix;
  • Experience supporting network infrastructure including troubleshooting routing, switching, wireless environments;
  • Performs system administration functions, such as: user administration, corporate applications administration, server file system administration, basic server administration;
  • Investigates, troubleshoots, and remediates network firewall problems and change requests; Experience with enterprise next generation firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco) strongly preferred;
  • Ability to manage an active ticket queue and effectively communicate with internal customers;
  • Experience with unified communications protocols such as SIP and H.323 desired;
  • Manages and maintains network monitoring systems, IP address management systems, and internal documentation systems.
  • Actively monitors network and server systems, remediates or escalates any problems discovered by enterprise monitoring tools to avoid service disruptions and reduce failures;
  • Experience working in a Service Desk System; Service Now a plus;
  • Maintains inventory and documentation of hardware/software;
  • Works on projects, ability to multi-task, and accurately report the status of all assignments;
  • Developing ideas to improve overall service uptime and availability;
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and troubleshoot quickly;
  • Customer focused- Listen first, ask questions second;
  • Shows accountability and demonstrates an intense drive for results;
  • Shows good technical and business judgement;
  • Fosters a sense of urgency and accountability for achieving objectives.
  • Engages appropriate resources to assist with analyzing and solving problems;
  • Assists in planning and implementing business continuity scenarios for the Windows and supporting infrastructures including establishment/on-going support of a geographically remote data center.
  • Assists enterprise-level data center operations, remediation; create, follow standard operating procedures for data center
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the Systems Administrator I position
  • 1-3 + years of Systems and Network Administration
  • Bachelors' degree in related field preferred
  • Implementation and support of the Windows and Network environment, including server systems and all components operating on that platform;
  • Experience managing an enterprise wireless infrastructure a plus
  • Windows Server 2012/2016 a plus
  • VMware ESXi 5.x, 6.x a plus
  • Citrix XenApp 6.x, 7.x a plus
  • Familiarity with SAN concepts
  • Windows services, including file and print services; DHCP, DNS, WINS, other network services
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory implementation and administration
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016 a plus
  • VMware experience
  • Citrix experience
  • Storage Area Networks
  • Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)
  • SAP Experience
