Spire Nottingham HospitalHead of Paediatric ServicesCompetitive Salary Shape the future of this department with your meticulous nursing skills.Joining the Spire Healthcare team is an experience that we’re particularly proud of. That’s because we know every new recruit is guaranteed a warm welcome at our modern facilities. But more than that, our staff work in a supportive and progressive environment in which innovation and creativity are encouraged – something that is supported by state of the art facilities and the use of cutting-edge treatments and techniques. It is this dynamic atmosphere that you can expect to benefit from when you join us as Head of Paediatric Services, bringing your extensive nursing knowledge to an enthusiastic department. Based at our new Spire Nottingham Hospital, you will head up the Paediatric team as we go through an exciting period of growth. Building up our services, this role is particularly enticing as it has been newly created, and is therefore open to interpretation. As such, you will have the scope to develop the department to your specifications, overseeing the work of five nurses, though this will almost certainly expand as our workload continues to increase. Handling planned care for children aged 0 to 18, you will lead clinical excellence with your own outstanding nursing capabilities, assessing the needs of our patients and offering specialist education to your colleagues. Ensuring the team are offering excellent patient-centred care, you will also delegate workloads and decide on the most appropriate allocation of resources. The department is already enjoying a good deal of success, so you’ll need to hit the ground running when you take on this role. With the gravitas needed to shape and direct a high-functioning service, you will therefore be a senior registered Children’s Nurse or you will be dual-qualified, with some management experience under your belt. Qualified to EPLS/PALS level and with a Child Protection level 3, you will also have a degree level qualification in paediatrics and the ability to apply sound judgement to any situation. With a commitment to ongoing professional development, you will constantly look for ways in which we can further our own services with the adoption of new thinking, techniques and technologies. This is a fantastic role for someone with the compassion and communication skills needed to take an already great department and turn it into something really unique. We’re always open to ideas and suggestions, so if you think you’ve got what it takes to improve health outcomes for our patients and build the success of the business, then we’d love to talk.
